What is Pilates

Pilates is a specialized form of impact-free, mind-body exercise developed by Joseph H. Pilates in the 1920s. It strengthens and stretches the entire body while emphasizing breath, core conditioning, and body awareness. A focus on quality, not quantity, of movement means just a few repetitions are needed for effective results.
